"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag..."
Yep, that's me... the Little Old Bird Woman.
I've been quite interested to know what certain animals eat lately, and for several days I was on a bird kick. So, Mommy found a simple recipe for me to actually make my own bird feeder.
A Note From Mom:
We chose a recipe that didn't include peanut butter as little sis is allergic to the nut! It still produced a glorious, gooey mess.

Start with a pack of non-flavored gelatin and water |
Add a little light corn syrup |
Pour in some flour |
Add your bird seed mix |
Stir together |
Move to a place where you can really make a mess |
Gather your coolest cookie cutters and squish the mix into them |
Let dry overnight
We also put a pipe cleaner through each of these so we could easily hang them around our yard (which Daddy was super excited about! We're putting them where the birds usually congregate anyway, so there shouldn't be any more of a mess than usual.).
This was a fun little project for little sis and I. Okay, it was REALLY fun for Elly, who LOVES to make a mess. Mommy finally had to pick her up and hose her down.
