I picked this flower to give to you,
but then I just let Tig eat it instead (I may have also had a bite or two...).
I love you!!

And to top it all off...

I spent the day showing Mommy how much I love her!  Daddy and I were creative this year and painted a flower pot with some chalk paint (so I can color her pictures all year long... it will be the gift that keeps on giving... that's how I like to look at it) and included in it a gift card to her favorite spa here in town so she can have a Motherhood Massage (because remember, I've got a little baby sister cookin' in there!).  We also took her to one of her favorite restaurants for some great barbecue.  Then the two us were able to catch up on our rest in the afternoon, and it was wonderful!  We went over to Grandma's house for some ice cream sundaes later in the evening and again made it home just in time for me to crash!
What a great weekend!

Happy Mother's Day to all my grandmas, aunts, and all you other ladies that give so much to make life so wonderful!
Love,
Lucy

The next day...

I woke up early the next day to go cheer on my Daddy, Uncle Jonathan, and Aunt Anna as they ran in the River Run.  I made signs for each of them so they were motivated to run really fast!  Each of them did really well and finished with great times!
After the race, Mommy and I walked around with my grandpa and cousin Haley watching some more races, and we even found some rides and a super fun place to bounce and had a blast (Note From Mom: Lucy bounced for about 30 minutes... she LOVED it!).  Later on we met up with Uncle Bryan and Aunt Anna, and Daddy, Uncle Jonathan and our friend, Mr. Seth Michaelson to have some food court delicacies which included chicken-on-a-stick, a "loaf" of curly fries and a funnel cake to top it all off!  (Don't worry, I had some fruits and vegetables later in the day to make up for this splurge!) :)  There was also some live music playing so I went ahead and made my way to the stage so I could dance and clap.  It was great!  Again, I was totally wiped out by the time I made it home for my nap!

Off to a great weekend...

I attended my first parade this weekend and LOVED it!!
The River Festival began on Friday evening with the Sundown Parade and we had great seats!  My great grandma and her sisters arrived early to save us some seats right on the street so we were up close and I could dance to the music, wave to all the people, and even caught a couple tootsie rolls.  My grandpa came, my aunts and uncles and cousins were there, and of course, Mommy and Daddy.  It was great fun and I was wiped out by the end of the night!
