My first Christmas tree

Mommy, Daddy, and myself went and picked out our Christmas tree recently and it was fascinating!  First off, there was a funny young man named Ivan who had a "rat tail" and Mommy and Daddy seemed to really enjoy it.  Secondly, there were trees everywhere!  It was difficult to choose the right one, but we came together and we did.  We now have a beautiful Douglas Fir illuminating our living room.  It's magnificent!

I love playing in my room!  I have a fun little activity center that I enjoy a nice squat at every so often, and I have a cozy little "house" to sit inside of with my bears, and I ALWAYS enjoy a nice stroll in my doll stroller!

Mommy and me laughing...

I'm nine months old today!  It's really, really unbelievable!

I just keep goin' and goin'!

Oh how I enjoy a beautiful Autumn day!  Mommy has taken me on plenty of walks these last couple of weeks to ensure that we both get our fill of the BEAUTIFUL colors of Fall.  It's also become quite chilly lately so I've been spending a little more time indoors the last week or so... I had my first ear infection and Mommy was sick as well so we've been cuddling up together trying to get well.  I didn't let it get me down though!  I've been mastering crawling, standing on my own (yes... you read right... I like to stand on my own and make sure all eyes are on me doing it!), and even walking around holding Mommy's and Daddy's hands.  I've been watching my cousin, Taylor, walk around and it looks like a great way to get around.  Until I figure it out, I'll just continue moving as fast as I possibly can on my hands and knees!

I've posted some pictures that show some of the things that go on at our house.  Why didn't anyone tell me how incredible my parents are???  Eating teething biscuits in the nude, wearing wigs and stockings on my head, it can wear a girl out!  

Oh cousin Taylor...

My cousin, Taylor, came over to play the other day.  She decided to go cruising in my car, however, she chose to have a chauffeur.  My teddy bear, Amos, took her for a nice ride through my 

room.  My teddy bears were actually having a party that evening in my playhouse and invited us to attend.  Taylor was a bit hesitant, but ended up poking her head in to say hello.  We somehow didn't get any pictures of the event though... sorry!  Then we played in my crib together.  I was trying to teach Taylor how to scream really loud and she was trying to teach me how to jump.  Mommy tried to get some video, but it wasn't too eventful (of course, I'll share it anyway!)  After that, we went outside to chat with our daddies and our dogs.  Daisy, Taylor's dog, has been staying with Tig while her family has their house up for sale.  It was a beautiful evening so we just played outside for awhile on Daddy's old truck.  We have a blast together!

3. I eat oatmeal every night before I go to bed, and thoroughly enjoy it!

5. My favorite dance move is "The Sprinkler" and I must say, I can really cut loose.

6. Sometimes I eat leaves.

My GREAT GREAT Uncle Louis and me

Mommy, Great Grandma, and myself decided to go on a short little road trip to go visit my Great Great Uncle Louis.  He is 83 years old and is about to turn 84 in November!  I had a ton of fun exploring throughout his living room and climbing all over him and his recliner.  He was telling Mommy all kinds of stories, which of course, she loved to hear about!  And she loved hearing Great Grandma and him talk about growing up; I was only interested in crawling all over the place and walking around him in his recliner!

Eight months old... ARE YOU KIDDING?!?!?!

It feels like it was just yesterday that I came home from the hospital but it's true... that was EIGHT months ago!  Time sure flies!

A Note From Mom...

Driving Lucy around in her car is one of the greatest things on earth!  

The pumpkin patch

Today I went to the pumpkin patch!  It was so great.  There were animals, a zip line, a huge slide, a corn maze, gourd canons, AND the actual patch!  It was so fun!

Just having fun...

The weather has been so magnificent lately, so I spend as much time outside as I possibly can. I figured out that I can pull myself up and look out the front door and if I flash Mommy or Daddy a cute little smile, they'll usually take me outside.  I climbed a tree, I spent some time with my Great Grandma (you can't really tell but the table we're sitting at is a miniature picnic table... that's how tiny we both are!) rode the tricycle and just gave Mommy some cute poses.

My cousin, Haley, got out of school early a few days this week so we were able to hang out and just have fun.  I LOVE spending time with Haley.  I just watch everything she does and then try to do it myself.  We played the piano together and went for a walk; we stopped for a snack at a local cafe and visited the library; we also rode the tricycle together at my Great Grandma's house.  We just have a blast together!
